Caught a Pacu in Davie yesterday... First one I've ever caught and it was a pretty good fight! We saw a huge one in the lake so we will keep on trying for it... Do people eat them? Heres a video of it.... Tight Lines!

I just seen a guy on the news this week with one of those. Some people he Bermuda chubs so it's hard to say that one is not eatable.

They are rare around here from what I hear, and remember the rule of thumb about eating freshwater fish down here. I would just release to catch it again another day.

Yup. Always follow that rule about eating fresh water fish down here.

Been years since I fished fresh water but could catch them regularly out west. Biggest I saw was around 40 lbs in a lake in Plantation.

I've seen a video on youtube where a guy was using strawberries and grapes for them. I think he would chum the water with the grapes and throw the strawberry in the middle. Would love to catch a big one, only ones I've seen are around FIU campus.
