the big peas are returning!!
after a couple months of mediocre peacock fishing catching a bunch of your average 1-2 pounders, the bigger boys are starting to show their faces again, these past couple weeks to my delight the peas have begun to bed in the shallows! have seen several nice peas that were 4 pounds and over on beds. these silly cold fronts we keep getting are delaying the process but early this morning around 8am in the 60 degree weather I caught a beautiful 3lber! not a beast and not my biggest, but biggest since August and a sign that the big brute peas are coming!! also caught a nice mayan cichlid with the peacock yesterday as well. enjoy!!

Nice catch man!
Funny enough the bite turned off for me the past 2 weeks. I went from landing a 4.59 lb beast 3 weeks ago to nothing now except a few decent size large mouths. Other than a few runts I have seen the big boys took off with the past few consistent cold fronts and probably headed east of US-1. I'm fishing the C-100 and Black Creek. I'm awaiting the next warm up to try again.
