Palometa Restricted?

Post by klrbruce »

I was wondering if palometa are restricted species. Palometa are not listed on the FWC regulations, but they are frequently called pompano, which are listed on regulations. Do you need to follow the regulation restrictions for Permit/Pompano when you catch a Palometa?

No regulations on them but common sense. Most that I see caught are to small to provide much of a meal.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

No restrictions. I catch bigger ones and pan fry them whole minus the head an fins. Like eating chicken on the bone.
