Saved by a Cat!

Fished Cockroach Bay today in the yak and was in the snook and redfish all day long. I threw everything in my tackle box and not one strike. Water was super clear and I could see the fish swim up to the lure and stop about a foot away from it. Even used different gulps and exudes with the same results. About 30 minutes before I gave up I found a little pocket of stained water. The first cast resulted in a massive attack on my Mirrodine. Set the hook and the game was on. Played him very gently with my 10 lb. test. When he came along side the yak my heart skipped a couple of beats and then I broke out in laughter. I was saved from a skunk by a CATFISH.

Well, at least the rod got bent. Any chance of fishing Jupiter inlet in a yak? Snookies are quite thick there this month according to my logbook.
