Limit on snapper from kayak!

Post by TheReelHangover »

Went out yesterday 12/17/13 and fished the flats and bay between 163rd and 195.. (Out of Morningside park). Caught a bunch of small trout average about 13inches and one keeper at 16. The snapper bite was on!! Caught my limit of mangrove snappers. Biggest was 15 in. Also caught a few baracudas and pesky lizard fish.. Heres a video of one of the snapper.. Caught in 10 seconds!!

Good stuff man. If you ever wanna launch off south beach for tarpon let me know. I expect awesome action around government cut over the next few months. Palm size pinfish under a cork will get you some gator trout in the area you were fishing FYI. The pinfish will bite a bare sabiki. Catch em up, glad to see a yak report from my area.

Thanks guys!! Haven't seen that many yak vids on here so thought I'd contribute... And thanks for the tip.. I usually don't use that big a pinfish but I'll try it out!

Great video, love the way you have the camera mounted, I need to figure some way to do that. Nice snapper! Keep vids coming.

You would laugh if you seen my setup!!! I used the bottom half of an old umbrella ( almost like pvc pipe) and taped my Gopro to it with clear scotch tape!! Then bungy corded that to the corner of a milk crate... It worked!!! LoL
