Boca Patch Reefs

Post by kngfshman »

I was out on my Jon Boat this morning south of Boca Inlet but north of Deerfeild pier on the little patch reefs. I anchored up and I put a chum-bag out. Within 4 minuets I had nearly the whole ocean next to my boat  I was just drifting some squid behind all the chubs and ballyhoo and caught me some 2 Lb. Buerunner and four Amberjacks around a foot long. I was really looking for some snappers so i decided to let my bait drift even further back and got me a 21in. Mango. Really it was only that mangrove that made my day. All the other fish were just to me bait steelers. But then when I was about to leave, the seaturtle that hangs around Deerfeild pier came into my chumslick and right next to my boat. It was an o.k. day.
