1/21 Indian River

Post by S M McInto »

Went out with a friend to the river up around Fort Pierce. On the water by 7:30am,

and my friend was reeling in this nice trout at about 8:15 on a top water plug

Another little trout caught in the same area on a top water plug

Went out again 1/22 early morning, bunch of bites, got a bunch of fish up to the boat, mostly trout along with a few decent sized Jacks, but no pictures for that day.

But so far I am LOVING the new kayak and continue to find new things to add to it and change to have it setup just the way I want it.

Nice report! :thumleft:

I would expect the trout bite to be good on the flats with all this warm weather. See any reds?

With any luck I will get out this weekend for the first time in awhile.

When we went out on Sunday we saw a bunch of Reds around the mangroves, I threw everything but the kitchen sink at them but no bites. I think I even landed a few casts on their heads they just weren't having it!! Probably head out again early this weekend and see what we get
