1/7 Yak Jacks
A little late on this report. Went out of Boynton Boat Launch to scout snook spots on Saturday afternoon and was trolling a red and white bucktail on the way back. Hooked up with about 5 3-5 lb jack c's in a spot so I kept going back and forth. Nice little wake up on the way back in to hear the reel zipping off every time I went through the cut. Wish they were bigger but I like their feistyness.

Re: 1/7 Yak Jacks
Jacks are one of my favorites. They hit everything including topwater plus I don't keep them so fun to release and not have to clean fish later.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Re: 1/7 Yak Jacks
Them and Bonita i call poor man's tuna... The way they fight to the bitter end is amazing, and for their size it is hard to find something that fights so hard unless you go offshore... Not to mention the versatility that fishinfool was talking about. I simply LOVE catching them on a big plug just about anywhere... I was bass fishing once on a canal with a popper... Had gone 3/4 largemouth on a 6lbs outfit, then a monster crevalle showed up, I will never forget him, lol I couldn't stop him even while running after him thru the bank till I tired out. Good stuff!

It is pretty cool that they fight so hard. Any fish that puts that up gets my respect
I don't mind catching em although they all go back in.
The intracoastal's great with the yak. I'd just like to find more places besides boat ramps to put in. Makes getting to some spots a quicker paddle.

Re: 1/7 Yak Jacks
Thanks for the report, jacks are a ton of fun in the yak, especially on topwater as mentioned.
