I'm saving to buy a yak so I was wondering when trolling lures on one. What kinda of lures would you troll and what lures would not work cause of speed issues. Likes though's huge manns lures would you not acquire the speed needed to get to the depth? I know an xrap would destroy and similar lures with the same lip. Was just wondering.

Hey Cannible, when I go offshore I will troll an XRap that can dive 10'-12' or a 2oz metal jig. These will produce nice strikes on Blackfins, Macks, and Bonnies. I like to troll slim lures as too much drag will call for more paddling. Hope it helps.
