Congrats to Rob aka Pottymouth - a true hardcore yakker and to my knowledge the first documented Wahoo out of a yak on either coast !

This is weakness and all, I just see all that expensive electronic and fishing equipment and wonder how it stays dry...... I mean it is a yak, it get soaked and rolls ever so often, how does this work?

The unit itself is water resistant, after all its meant to be on a boat. as far as the power source these guys get pretty creative. I ran into a guy past pompano that had a side scan unit on his yak. he was powering it off a jet ski battery cause it sould actually lay flat and be okay.It wa housed in a heavy duty tupperware container and generous amounts of marine silicone covered the holes where the wires went in.cyril1974 wrote:This is weakness and all, I just see all that expensive electronic and fishing equipment and wonder how it stays dry......
