New Tarpon 130t Tandem and FBO sale
I went down to Florida Bay Outfitters to check out kayaks yesterday and it turns out they have a 2010 inventory clearance sale. Its basically liquidation of there 2010 rental fleet. I rented and ended up buying a Tarpon 130t for 490$. The sale ends July 28th I think, but i thought id let everyone know that is interested in picking up a decent kayak for a good price. First time Ive kayaked in like 4 years and I am pumped to get into kayak fishing. I am pretty sore from the 6 mile trip though hahah

Damn! That's within my budget but I really want a mirage drive. Just seems that system would be a lot easier for fishing and you could go so much farther using your legs vs your arms. Problem is they're still $1200 used. Was toying with the idea of simply getting a tarpon or prowler for now then buy a mirage drive down the road. Then I could use my 2nd kayak for a friend that wasn't to tag along or whatever.

Gave them a call, had one tarpon 140 left and it was $625 but it doesn't come with a paddle. They retail for around $900 with a paddle so... wasn't super impressed. If it came with a paddle for $625 I'd pick it up.
