Bonefish help

Post by bsfl »

Hello all,

Longtime lurker first time poster. Need some help catching my first bonefish from the yak, preferably in Biscayne Bay. I have the tackle down just looking for recommendations on where to head to. Thanks in advance and for your help.

Matheson Hammock, Black Point or Crandon Marina would all be good places to start...all have access to flats that hold bonefish that are within a relatively short paddle.

Thanks for the info...ended up paddling off hbfp, saw a few tailing at near low tide but no catches. Gonna try some of the spots you recommended next :thumleft:

If you saw tailers, stay on them... Bones are not as easy as some make it look.

Did you launch at hbfp marina/parking lot or at Convoy ?

Launched at Convoy. It's free.
