Penn 309 level wind reel
I am selling a penn 309 level wind reel, reel is in great condition mechanically, no problems, has just a couple scratches and cosmetic wear on it but nothing major at all, upgrading to newer tackle and I don't use it anymore, asking for $20, thats all, reel holds 350yds of 30lb mono. PM me if interested, thanks!!

Re: Penn 309 level wind reel
Level winds aren't made for casting more like trolling and bottom fishing. Now of course you can cast it but your not gonna get the distance you want and it's gonna be a mission. But you can remove the level wind easily but still there are reels designed for castingclarence2society wrote:hows that thing cast?

Re: Penn 309 level wind reel
Yea my b I forgot to include that nonetheless casting or not the reel is still a great time tested hardy reel that will last a long time no matter the amount or style of use, good to put on a rod that needs a reel, I have both the 209 and 309 and actually I think I still have a 109 from back in the day too they are so damn cheap and last lifetime, I guess that's why the value of them is so low cuz they last forever lol
