So i bought this rod from king mackerel ( chad ) yesterday as " brand new", and when i got home and inspected thd rod further i found the 3rd guide down from the tip was cracked. I sent him a picture via text last night and called him today, he did not respond to my text or answer my call. Just a heads up for anyone that does business with king mackerel in the future. He's just a young kid( 18ish) and if he would have responded I wouldn't have posted this, but I figure I have to look out for the next guy. Only going to cost about ten bucks to fix, but that's not the point.

Sorry to hear about this fisher! I mean FrontLine1980. King Mackerel is Chad. Just like you are Frontline1980 & not Fisher. Anyways that is beside the point. What I can tell anyone in here when buy please make sure you look it over & all over for any problems that you might catch right there & not at home. Take your time & test it out- if they have a problem with you testing it out or taking to long dont buy it!

There is only hand full of people in her I can buy from that I trust. You might be able to take this rod back to bass pro or call star them self & see if they can give you a replacement. Worth a try cause on most rods they wont ask question. If they dont have it in stock they might get you a rod with the same rating.
