fort desoto state park end of Dec.

We are going to Desoto state park 4th. wk. of dec. Between the gulf pier, bay pier and n. and s. skyway fishing bridges, that's a lot of options!! We have 4 days, any suggestions as to the best way, & areas to spend our time? We like to fish live bait, and will probably try to catch some pinfish on sabikis, and buy some live shrimp. What's the usual catch in these areas?
