The admission is free and parking last i checked was $1.75 an hour in the public lot which is about a block away.
Get there early on weekends.
The pier sells bait, drinks, and food.
I would get some live shrimp and use that, snook should be chewing and plenty of trout and drum to be caught as well.
Since the pier is free, expect lots of people walking up and down the pier

^^^what he said...if you park in the lot itself, remember the number of the spot you're in - because you pay for parking at one centralized meter. There are also metered parking spots in the street in the immediate area as well. But be advised that the street meters are more conventional (i.e. one meter per space) and only accept change while the centralized meter (or whatever you call that big box where you pay for parking) takes change, coin and I think even credit cards (not 100% sure on the credit card thing)...I don't think there is a max time on the lot parking, but not sure about the street meters

I think that there is free parking after 6 pm, also the parking lot is a very short walk from the pier
