Caught a big blue runner on friday prob the biggest I've ever caught so what the hell I kept it to make fish dip.... In the process of making my brine I cut a piece to Cook on the grill, I wanted to see if all the hype about them not tasting good and only being bait is true.... I put some olive oil and old bay blackening seasoning, I have to say i will be keeping them from now on (good size only) it was prob just as delicious as the yellowtail I was eating for dinner... Imo it even tasted better than cero/Spanish mackerel.

Lol

I am keeping the ceros if I get any this year they tast great too just the blue runner tasted more consistent and more flavor than the small macks to me, believe me I am still surprised about the taste...Kings still taste better thou, but I will take the runners off you with a small donation if they are big enough like <=14 no smalls I'm gonna be making some killer dip with em
