Are you asking what species that you personally have a chance at catching currently that would be good for sushi? Or where to buy fish/what species to buy, for good sushi?

:stupid:

Personally I wouldn't trust any fish I buy to be fresh enough for sushi. I make a lot of my own however, some of my favorite fish are mangrove snapper, permit, yellow jack, cero mackeral, rainbow runner, blackfin tuna...

I'd say Whole Foods has really good quality fish (pretty pricey too), don't know if there's any close in your area

I know not in your neck of the woods, but...

Milan's supermarket & Norman Brothers Produce.

PP, did you every hit "The Fresh Market" in the Grove when you lived down south?

Oh yeah, Fresh Market is great. Not as ridiculously expensive as Whole Foods either. I used to work at the marina that it shares the parking lot with.

I usually eat the sushi the day I catch the fish. 1-2 days then it meets the fire. Thats just what I do.
