any one got a bass/peacock bass recipe?

i usually fry them in italien herbs and bread crumbs...anybody got any recipes? :chef:

well up here in the hills of eastern ky this is how we'd do it.

take some bass filets make sure you've had them iced good..,
get you a bowl and pour a little less than 2 cups of milk in it, then pour 3 eggs in it, and salt and pepper, stir it up really fast til it's all mixed together. soak each filet in it for a few seconds and from there they'll go straight towards a big pan of flour and corn meal and maybe some crunched crackers if you'd like. roll em in it til they are really covered good in fry them in some nice oil. it's just a simple simple recipe but it's good.

i've heard a few people talk about bass tasting fishy but after you clean them if you put em on ice for a while it really helps.

bass tasting fishy? really?maybe thats the kentucky bass cuz around my lakes here the bass taste is very mild, with firm meat. how do u guys cook the pike up there?

personally I don't think it tastes fishy, but I responded to someone the other day about bass and they said it tasted really fish, but I do to think its a mild fish.

As far as pike my friend there are none, closest thing to a pike are muskie and we do them the same way. However, a muskie is a real prize and I really don't want to eat one when I can eat a catfish u know, lots of catfish not many musky.
