12-7-14 out of Miami

Post by Miami_Chris »

I don't contribute much around here, so thought I would post a report, even if it is a boat report.

The wind finally subsided, and we headed out nice and early. Although it was still bumpy for my 22 sea fox, it was still very doable. Original plan was to hit the reef and try for some yellowtails. We went from Fowey to triumph looking for current but never found any. Ended up chasing birds around and drifting looking for some new bottom. Found some hard bottom in 90 feet with lots of marks mid water column. We anchored and set out some chum, and got onto some fish late in the day. Lots of sails and small kings/ceros around. Everything came on live ballyhoo, speedo chunks, and small xrap which a small king broke boat side.

Thanks dude, it deff wasn't flat out, but not too bad. My girl actually got sick out there, but never complained once. She's a trooper. Wish I could say the same for some others I have taken out hah

2-4's with some areas having bigger. Chop was close together so made things a bit bumpier.

What's your name?

Yea low dominance period sucks ! It can be 2 feet at 2 seconds and its crappy it can be 4-5 at 13 and I'm fine. Either way yea I'm the same way I get sick I lay down till it's over I don't hassle. Happened to me in a storm 20 miles out of Matheson hammocks . Went from 2 to 6 fast.
