I used to fish that pier in my teens as well, Mike (R.I.P.), Oldman Dave (R.I.P) and the Chief gave me my nickname. I remember when they started stamping people with the Googan stamp and when the pier burned down. And if I am not mistaken the Marlin story came out in the Florida Sportsman as well, on one of the back pages. I may even still have that issue.PaulieBoy wrote:And as far as the term "googan" it most definately started on that pier!!!
