Tommy, is there a way to ignore post by user name. I know some boards running phpbb have an add on module that allows this (click user, set to ignore), but I am not sure what this board is hosted on.

Look on the user control panel, under "friends and foes"

ucp.php?i=zebra&mode=foes

If I remember right, putting a user in foes blocks your visibility for that user and their posts.

Foes block that user from your screen, so they can say what they like you will never see it.
Friends lets know know when they are on and there posts, I believe
