Guys do yall use a j hook or circle hook if fishing near the grass brackish water w/popping cork? For the bait, what is the rule of thumb if any? Gulp Shrimp, grub tipped with shrimp?
Thanks,
Jay

I only use a popping cork or D.O.A. Deadly Combo or Cajun Thunder style when I'm fishing for speckled trout. Yes, I use a circle hook and if I'm not using live shrimp. I'll try a Gulp shrimp or a D.O.A. shrimp. [/i]

This thread's a couple years old now, but I'm just getting started with popping corks. Can someone tell me what "DOA Shrimp" is? Is it a gulp-type product?
