Chum, oatmeal, or bread will bring the ballyhoos in. Use very small black or gold hook with a bobber. Give about 12" distance from bobber to hook. If they are skittish make the distance longer. Cut a tiny piece of squid and just let it float out to the bait. Do not cast at them or you will spook them. Usually I use 6-8lb test to catch bait. Good luck.
