Reel suggestions for Daiwa Emblem 9'

I've got an Emblem 902MFS - 9' medium action with lowriders in the corner doing nothing
Want to use it this summer in the surf for snook in the trough
Looking at shimano reels....got some paypal money saved up
Should I get a 4000? 5000? 6000?
I'm leaning towards the 4000 or I'll have wrists like popeye by the end of summer.
What size braid should I run? Topshot?
