Still no real action on SoBe. Few fingers here and there. Only one decent pod has come through in the am, and nothing was really even feeding on em. Getting worried they'll head offshore before they make it down here. Heck it's almost half way through Oct and the run hasn't made it to Miami Beach yet...

I'm not sure if they will make it down to south beach but I finally saw some big pods of big mullet moving south. They are a good distance off the beach though.

I saw about the same amount of tarpon in this pod. They were rolling everywhere. I just wish they were closer to shore!

Am I the only one who hasn't seen much mullet this year? Only heard of one big pod that passed through my area about a week ago with nothing on them, and I've only seen a couple small pods of like 10 or 20 fish move through. Besides that, Hallandale has been dead, no pilchards, no mullet, no fish.

they've only been scattered in the dade area on the surf...best bet is near the jettys

but if you go inshore you will almost for sure find them along sea walls and bridges.....trust me, if you look you will find them especially with the bay waters all turned up like it has been all week.

There isn't much in the surf in Dade, well not on SoBe anyways. Bay and canals is another story. There was one small pod and it made the news, lol, meanwhile they're so thick in up north that you could walk on em. And it has been that way for quite some time.

Hopefully the next front at the end of next week will push them down here. Seems like we never get the action as good as they do up north.

You re absolutely right i used to talk about it with Zebco all the time Dania and points south dont see the action like north of port everglades on the beaches anyways. I think that the port is so big a lot of them swim inside or stay well offshore once they get to the port i dont know why but i have been at Dania bch many times when mullet were streaming from the north and never seen anything like i seen up in Palm beach a week ago ever.

So that's what everyone is praying to see! Nothing like that at Dania lol

Any update on how SoBe was this morning? Have been contemplating making the ride up to Ft Lauderdale... have been fishing for Tarpon on SoBe three times this past week but nothing to show for it. Hardly anything busting.

Fished incoming tide on Singer Island yesterday for a couple of hours in the AM. Had a snake-like pod of finger mullet slowly moving South in the channel between that bar and shore - stretched for about 500 yards. Got plenty of actions from bluefish but couldn't connect with the big tarpon that were chowing down. No sharks, unusual. I was the only one out there other than sunbathers.

Joe, can you post a picture of a hog finger? Lol

No real bait to speak of where i looked on SoBe. Didn't go to the jetty, googanville down there in October. Every mullet we put over the sandbar got sharked in no time, stupid fast! Had 6 or 7 shark bites and a jack and called it quits. Didn't feel like playing tht game today.

On Saturday around 1 at LW Pier a Football field sized pod came through and the mullet were football sized themselves. Only thing feeding on them was some black tips and pelicans from what I can see. They came through pretty quick. Not much action besides that.

Was on South Beach this morning. Nothing by the jetty, couldn't even find the finger mullet that were hanging around. Waiting for more pods to show up..
