Finger mullet in Singer Island wash. Nobody chasing - incoming tide this afternoon. Stopped by Juno Beach pier at sundown. Guys on pier said some blues but no sign of mullet in any numbers.

Sat morning early on Boca Beach..... lots of mullet near shore, a few blues out past the sandbar... I was wading on the sandbar and all of a sudden the mullet erupted in a 15' patch about 100' South of me but coming towards me.. I started toward them... .then the eruption grew HUGE!... like 100' wide these were foot-long mullet flying out of the water and the wave of fish came right towards me.. no time to get to shore, I dug my toes in the sand (to protect from biting from blues) and they were nailing me in the legs.... I threw my spoon several times expecting an immediate hookup, but no such luck.. I guess there were just too many of them... it was incredible!... My wife was wading about 100 yds North of me and saw the whole thing.. she had never seen such a huge explosion of fish!

Must have been blues... I did catch 2 nice sized ones (~24") and saw a couple chasing the mullet.

Jeff your story sounds nuts! Of course I left an hour to soon...
Many mullet EXPLOSIONS sat, sun AM in boca inlet. Blues lady's snook and jacks. All action in the predawn era.

Singer Isand PM: actually saw some nice sized pods of mullet in the 25mph wind-driven surf. Had only 40 minutes to fish - 4 blues and one Spanish Mack. Could have kept fishing the incoming tide but wife had the car running...
