Wish I could but gotta take a weekend off before the onslaught of the shark tourney. Definitely bring your full arsenal of gear, people laugh at me when I bring 10-12 rods but it's nice to have a rod for every purpose ready without having to re-rig. Tip: if you have enough rods, I always leave one heavy spinner rigged with a big bucktail and one with a freelined 4/0 hook to pin to whatever live bait you have handy, you never know when a cobe or school of bruiser jacks comes through and it pays to be prepared.

Thanks for the tip. I own just 4 rods right now. Big Shimano Torium I bought today with a nice Offshore Extreme 30-60 lb rod. Came with free 450 yards of 50 lb Momoi Diamond at BPS. I even got a extra 10% off
Its my big tortuga grouper rod, but Im gonna try to shark fish with it.

Saltist 50 shs with 360 yards of 30 lb Momoi Diamond and a 65-200 lb jig rod by Offshore Extreme. Its so skinny I cant beleive its that heavy duty, and the tip is so light I figured to go heavy, that way if I ever switch my Saltist and Torium rods I know il stand up to the task. I actually picked up my father in law with this rod and almost flung him over my shoulder. Going to use this for tarpon, big snapper, grouper, wahoo

Fenwick walmart special. I gotta quit dissing this rod. Its my biggest producer. at just 120 yards of 10 lb line This 6 foot spinner caught me a 4 lb peacock a 5 lb mutton and my 7lb monster mangrove. I love this cheap flimsy stick

8 lb shakespere walmart special. Catches nice bait ><

Missing a 20 lb spinner and 20 lb bait caster ><

Hoping to get my hands on the calcutta 700s but the seller keeps putting me off. Still dont have a rod for it yet.
Hoping for some suggestions.

The spinner I got my eye on a shimano 6500 baitrunner. Again dont have a rod for it yet, open to suggestions also. but I dont like heavy action rods for spinners.

Hey Killula,
New on the forums, but seen quite a few of your post/

I'm headed to the Keys today after work (Friday), so I won't be there til around 9:00 tonight.
I'm just going to fish a few of the bridges for snapper, unless I decide to use my rain check at Robbies and do a yellow tail trip. I was planning on Toms Harbour - if my memory is right, channel two isn't too far from there.

Were doing mostly night fishing also. Were going to be chumming and dropping a latern next to the water to help get the bait to us, and hopefully the predators.

Baitwetter - whats your number if you haven't already left?
I am headed out from Cape Coral at 6:00 pm - my plan was to fish Toms Harbour, depending on which bridge has spots open.

My number - 239-214-1646
Names Dan
