What kind of fish can be caught this time of year from the Pompano Pier? Has anyone had any luck there recently? I have never been before, thinking of going this week.

This time of year I'd expect sand perch , snook , tarpon , blue runners , cudas , and snappers to include muttons mangroves and the occasional yellow tail. There may also be bar jacks bonito and cero mackerel if the bait is around.

If you go there at night... watch your gear

Thank you for the advice... We didn't catch a thing though not even a bite unfortunately. We will try it again at some point. Back to LW pier.
