Hit the pier from 8 to 11. It was pretty dead out there, the water was pretty calm and clear. I manage to catch a small grover it went back and nothing else worth talking about. A group of retired guys were out there hanging out and fishing. They were catching undersized trigger fish they probably caught around 10. Other then that nothing was biting.

What fish are you talking about? First off most here wouldn't be eating fish they would use as chum. But anyways I don't see any fish talked about that are awful or would suffice as chum... Your first post should be an introduction by the way.

Bluefish make good chum. Better chum than table fare. Pretty sure that's what he was getting at.

Soak the meat in milk overnight and there pretty darn good IMO.

Yea i actually did go. There was no hookups at all. But i recently found a spot that has pilchards and sand perch i caught a good amount even one 12in snapper with my cast net. I need to go purchase a live well pump so i can transport them to Deerfield pier. And good to know about the mullet cause theres a park in Deerfield that usually has them. But there were non there yesterday

Fished Deerfield Sat morning for sunrise then again in afternoon briefly..

Found some pilchards while wading around, only managed 1 blue runner - wish i had more time

Lots of bluefish, macks and pomps all week. Including keeper muttons the first few days the NE wind arrived.

i used to live on deerfield pier lol... whats parking like there and does the fishing super intendent still check your coolers which is cow poop...how much is fishing parking these days/...where to park

i stopped goign after that dredging.... that was like 6 yrs ago.... sucked after that.. even saw a dude swim out to the dredge and cops swarm him on boats nd chopper lmao.. off ya go.... but yeah since then i havent fished there but maybe 2 times

and they changed all the parking etc....not very fisherman friendly andi dont like ppl checkin my cooler for beers... im fishing let me have a fuckign drink .. that little short bun for your oscar meyer super intendant used to come out and check ppls poop.. umm hell no....i wont ever let them check my cooler... unless its fwc... thats illegal search i believe
