PENN reel repair guru

Post by ddratler »

Chef Jim - Jim Adams
this guy fixes, cleans, puts together, lubes up and sells, almost all penn conventional reels, from new to old.
i already sent him a squidder that was a little rusty and had all this grease crap inside, he sent it back shiny clean with a new power handle, new washers, and all for a sick price
im sending him a 4/0 that was sitting in my granpa's shed for like 25 years, its got green rust all over it, and i dont even want to know what it looks like inside, either way ill post pics when i get it back
great guy, great sevice, cheap prices, this guy knows PENN reels

got the penn 4/0 back yesterday and WOW!
i wish i would have took a before picture, but you can imagine how a reel with mostly metal parts sitting in a damp shed in miami for 25 years would look

he installed new carbontex washers that i had sent to him
its like a new freekin reel only with more history and attitude
kings watch out :dude:

looks good no matter how bad it looked before... its a good way to get a reel that means a lot to you back in order.

well he did a similar job on a squidder i sent him for 20$, i told him about how that reel got left at the pier and he said that as long as i buy a reel from him in the future or if i get someone to, then he'll do it for free!! :dude:
im not saying that he does deals like this all the time but this just shows what type of person he is
