Because I've never met any of the folks from here? Because my saltwater sport fishing is generally limited to "I got a hook and a chunk of lead on a line! I might catch a fish!" with a healthy side order of enthusiasm?

Someone said south pier? Which are? How do you tell who's part of Boatless and who's random folks fishing? On Turkey Day itself? What kind of tackle would be best? Last time I just had weights with some hooks and used live shrimp. It's always fun to fish! I'm a bit excited about meeting people who know HOW to fish.

Well at least you got some hook, lead, and line. I started off fishing with a can with some line and hook on it. Sometime just line and hooks. LOL

You'll see sign for South Skyway Fishing pier and North Skyway Fishing pier.

Tackle? Depends on what you are trying to catch. Day time I would target macks and jacks. They are the most fun and easy to catch. Just requires long shank hook and fishing line. You'll get a lot of cut off but will get more bite. Night time, you can fish on the bottom for grunts, trout, flounder, snapper(if they are still around), +++

I don't usually do well with shrimp at skyway. The pinfish/grunt will eat them up... We'll manage some team live well bait or something. ;)

Once they start showing up, we'll get each other contact's number.

At the beginning of the pier. Between the toll booth and the first bathroom.

Sweet on the hook advice. I don't think I'll be there at night, since it looks like I'm only off on thursday. Boss is booking clients on friday for me.

What kind of live bait is best? When I fished with the shrimp, I got a lot of the pinfish too. Fun yes, but not very good for eating.
What about frozen squid or frozen mullets?

Thanks!

Guessing the trip is a no go. Right after a cold front is usually very bad.

So the trip is off? I know it's supposed to be chilly and I haven't heard any reports from there lately.
