Some sharp eyed snitch just made a nice paycheck. Wish I could say George would be missed but .... at 70 years old a conviction is a life sentence. For the price Anglins charges to park you think I would get a profesional valet who heped me unload my fishing stuff , checked the oil and tire pressure, and then filleted my catch after my trip. I miss Walter.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Way I see it... Banks have been robbing us for a VERY long time... Too bad they caught him. I do not condone violence, but yeah, screw the banks...

Sure thing Juan until you realize that if he will rob a bank he has no problem sticking a gun in your face for your money. I bet then you will cry for him to do time. 
Please don't give me the tired I carry speech. I have yet to find someone that can draw and aim before I can pull the trigger. Once you reach the point of robbing banks you will rob anyone or any place. Banks you know you will almost certainly be caught.

Oh I hear ya Chris, just saying though, about the status Quo bud. As far as drawing, I agree with you there as well, someone skilled with a knife can put someone out of commission before they've had a chance to draw, it is all relative lol. There is so little information about it though, what did he do? How much money did he take?

I forget what he got but it wasn't much. Last I checked the average bank robber gets around $2000. Not a lot of money for the risk and punishhment.

Agreed... This aint the wild west anymore, big scores are a thing of the past... You MUST get with the times and rob people the legal way...

Ok
Here the whole story as I know it now that he has been arrested.
George goes into to the bank a mile from his hotel. He asked for the money in the drawer, from my knowledge at no point did he have or mention a gun.
Keep this in mind
" George can not walk more than 100 or so feet with out stopping and holding on to something and catching his breath and when he is walking he is on the unsteady side of balanced "
The Teller hands him money and he proceeds to hobble and make his way from the Bank at which point he gets into a Cab, leaves, goes back to his hotel takes his clothes off, leaves them there and checks out.
Then over a couple of days he bounces around the area before leaving and heading to East area of Hollywood, he gets a hotel and chills until, I guess, the money runs out and he then goes to an Atm I believe was at a gas station / convenient store to withdraw his SS Check. He waited for the transaction the alert went out to the Federal Marshals Apprehension Secret Squirrel Team and Bam they walk up and took him into custody.
Those secret squirrel units are EVERYWHERE takes mere minutes for them to respond in most cases.
So I believe he was ready for some help and where he is is better for him, he will get the medical attention that he needs and also he will get 3 square meals a day of which he has not seen in Decades. He will not be able to consume the alcohol he has done everyday for decades. So he will probably live a couple of years longer which he might not be happy about or he will die soon from the confinement which is very possible.
Now I think it is funny as hell that an old man with his issues could do and get away with it for that period of time and I think that is why Bank Robbery is an epidemic in our cities across the USA because its that easy to demand money even if you can't walk or breath you can get away.
Since this happened I have done some research of this kind of stuff and its happening a lot more than I was aware of and they aren't catching as many as you think.
