crappie jigs for saltwater

Post by bigyellowtuna »

Is there such a thing as a crappie jig with a saltwater hook. Seeing a 8 lb mack grinning at me and swimming away after my hook straightened makes me wonder.

unfortunately, you have to take the good with the bad, they work great but lots of cutoffs and straightened hooks

custom made ones.....

either tie them yourself or check out local lure companies...one of them should make what you are looking for.

I tie my own. Went to bass pro shop got a fly tying setup with the materials. Not hard to do at all if u r any bit autistic. All u got a find is the right jighead. I could even tie you some if you wanted

No I was tossing storebought. I just made my own for very windy days they have a heavier jighead

My best guess given my degree in psychology ...He's getting at he's a Douche and insinuating that's why I didn't catch anything... most likely stemming from a deep seeded feeling of inadequacy in another area of his life...or not

I'm not saying they are perfect but I have only tied a few and they look decent enough. My point is its not that hard to tie them with any type of hook u want.

Here's a couple of the first ones I tied that I took a pic of

Saw these at BP and picked up a couple of packs for grinners. Much heavier than the crappie jig so it flies a mile in the wind and obviously this hook isn't getting bent by any Mac swimming at Dania. You work the jig the same way and I've been doing quite well tossing it.
