I clean all my trash always, and If I have time I'll pick up what's around me but my last stop was a rushed one and there was trash around I could have cleaned.

And I just saw a post under the middle keys forum that said the bridges looked destroyed and trash cans full after the weekend so I'd be willing to go do a cleanout

That's what im talking about. When heading back to our cars after 2 or 3 days fishing- the bridges are empty and nothing our group enjoys more than picking up them dirty pigs trash on the way out.... cause 1 or 2 trash cans are not enough on each platform. Then you get the real smart group that love throwing their 5 extra large squid boxes in the trash and letting it cook to perfection..nothing worth wild so when the next group comes in then to smell that as your fishing.

Lol how bout the hooks left on the railings, I have hooked myself a few times even with rusty hooks Thank god for tetanus shot.. I usually wash my squid containers with water before tossing them but most of the time all my garbage goes in my cooler and gets tossed back home... If not my used line goes in the pvc thing designated for line and the rest in a suitable trash can..

If that's the easiest way to meet you Scotty I'm in and looking forward to it. It's also the easiest way for me to see the GK. He never fishes boatless anymore. Probably needs coordinates to find Dania now that he's a captain. Date n' time and I'm there

This is great...such an inspirational & spiritual thread ...Putting stuff like this puts me back a few years ago.....At one of the "Bridge Clean Up" i recalled Grunt saying "today this was a good day" after we were done cleaning the bridge.... We both high five each other on a job well done! Grunt had to walk back to the other side of the bridge since his truck was there.....

It's just jealousy Captain. I've seen pics of multiple GAG grouper you've boxed recently that would end up being avitars around here. Maybe you grew up eating fried mullet but you ain't eatin' bait anymore.

I be down for that. And what's wrong with fried mullet? That's one of the great things about saltwater fishing, you don't catch anything you can eat your bait. Look honey, I caught us some grunts, mullet and shrimp mmmm mmm.

At one time Monaco was the contact person for volunteers crews that adopted the bridges.she hasn't worked there in almost 2 years now. As far as I know the only person that cleans channel 2 is the paid crew on Monday mornings and that crazy lady Babs that drives the bicycle with all the crap hanging off of it.

Starting to like that idea better im down for the next one. I just thought it would be cool to get clean ups going again but those are always just the excuse to get down there in the first place.

Then we're not gonna clean and you're not gonna do the "breakfast club" thing into the sunset at the end? Scotty put me down as maybe

Channel 2? Or?? Joe i was thinking maybe we can have it coincide with the tourney for those that are fishing it like you know the official start. What do you think? You have one of these under your belt so any  so maybe when the dates of that are set we can start it down there of course you wont have to fish that particular bridge but it might be cool. Also are we not allowed to do a group cleaning of the bridge is there some kind of red tape involved? I just think with the amount of guys that fish down there we could give a little back.
