Pier Comparison

Post by Sonsogno »

Hello All,

I dont post on here much as I am only a part time angler down south and spend most of my year fishing pike up in Canada. I do however come down there for a couple weeks two-three times a year and try to get as much pier fishing in as I can.

Looking for some information on pier comparison. I typically fish Anglins because I find that regardless of the higher admission I would much rather have some breathing room rather than fish one of the free piers and get tangled every 5 minutes. I have been out to Lake Worth as well (closest pier to my house) and its not bad during off peak times, but again when it gets busy you can't move. Can anyone say what the other piers are like? Are the inlets or beach fishing spots any better?

Lastly I will be down from Jan 13-24 this time and looking for anyone to fish with? Fishing alone is good but a little company is better... You can PM me if your interested in some pier, beach or inlet fishing. I would like to get out each morning from 5am - 9am.

Tight Lines.

All the Broward piers are dead right now with sporadic mackeral furries

Thanks for all the posts. Mikey I will definitely stop in one day for a visit and some fishing, hopefully the action picks up.

Phil, I am actually looking for a drift fishing charter that goes out for 3-4 hours in the morning. I have my wife and newborn with me so a full day charter is not an option. I can only get out a few hours a day. Let me know.
