Keys boat rentals

Post by BateMaster »

Anyone have any advice as to where to rent a boat in the Key Largo, Tavernier, or Long Key area? Looking for the cheapest all day rental if possible. Thanks!

I would like to rent a pontoon boat around long key in mid June ... I hope someone answers your post. I can't help you...I have never rented a boat before. I think you have to put up a fairly high deposit.

I know last year at the Marine Flea Market, there were a couple places in the upper middle and MIDDLE keys, that rented boats, for less then $200 a day. 18ft center consoles. Dont ask me names of places, cause it was last year. $200 for a day, is CHEAP :bounce: :bounce:

Repair; B&M is in Islamorada, MM 79. 7 mile is MM 47. Just a wee bit further North than your thinking.
Bait & Jack, Try this place, don't know anything about it, but they are close to where your looking. Google has a bunch of them. One thing, boat rental is only one cost to consider. Fuel will be as much if not more depending on the motor/motor's. Look for 4 stroke outboard's. About 1/2 the fuel cost over 2 stroke's. At close to 6.00 a gallon at the marina's it's a real consideration.

I have been renting from the same guy for about 9 years. I tried a few other companies before I found him and I have found he has the best prices and boats that are large enough/ have 4 strokes with enough power to get me where I want to go without a problem.

They have everything from skiffs and bay boats to larger center consoles... he also has pontoon boats.

He was located at Bud n Marys for many years but about 2 years ago he moved over to Pelican Bay (I think that's what it is called) just North of Holiday Isle.

Jeff is the owner of the rental company.

Thanks crash... looks good... I may rent one for a day but I will spend much of my time on a bridge due to its a lot cheaper. I see that there is a lot more places to rent boats than I imagined.

I would go with a kayak rental. We rented a tandem for $15 or 20 on sugarloaf key a few summers ago. There are so many mangroves and estuaries in the keys, I don't think you really need an actual boat.
Support local fisheries. Buy wild Gulf Shrimp.

Not sure if the still do but either at Robbies on Grassy Key, or right next to them, they rented boats there as well. Even if they don't Robbies is always a great place to stop and hand feed the Tarpon. (Just South of Bud & Marys.)
