I have one, but i haven't used it yet.I used to use the regular cheap one, but after one summer in my garage, it was no longer usable, and apparently the quality of this one is better... time will tell. i have tried to pop it open and close it, and it's trickier than it looks on the YouTube video, but it sure beats having to carry a big bulky drop net everywhere you go...

Daplural. I own one of these myself. I bought it to replace my older one that had the two solid rings. I keep mine in a 3 gallon bucket along with my cast net. So far it has been perfect. I do suggest if you buy one to also buy a 2.5 pound weight plate. The net has no weight so you have to put some form of weight at the bottom to get it to sink below the surface a bit. It also helps on windy days to keep it from swinging. By the way. We sell them at River Marine Supply for $35. you can save yourself $15.
