Why not just start a new Topic in the "How To Articles"

If the subject were something, say like "Wrapping Rods" that interest me I'd read it.. if not I'd pass.

Most of the rod shops that i know of encourage it because most of the time they are able to get parts and different things for the custom builders. Also most of the time the owner and the people who work there share the same hobby of rod building....

Just figure it would be a great thread, i myself both build my own rods and lures(stiped bass lures), and belong to a couple different site who have these type of forums. Really amazing what u see and can learn from them.

hmm....i just got a new blank and was plannen to build a rod to suit an avet mxl....maybe to start off the thread ill do an entire how to on how to build a rod...i could throw in how to fix a rod and stuff like that...

I want to make myself a fly rod that need to be stong enough for tarpon with eyes on it for a spin and a longer handle I love the handling for these rods for lite takle flats fishing. They have a term for this style can not recall what it is I was reading a forum artical about it on capt mel. I though it was something that we only did in La.

I remember some very good threads in the past on making Clark spoons, Gotchas and one by masterbaiter that was really unique. They could be moved to an area like you are talking about. I think it is a good idea.
