Hello friends,
I was wondering if anyone can help me out... I recently moved back down to South Florida and want to begin fishing on the Deerfield Beach pier again.
I am looking to do light tackle fishing and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me on what rod/reel combos I should be looking at. I know most have suggested at least a 7" rod and I have been looking into the Shimano Stradic FK Spinning Reel as I have heard good things.
Just want to do some simple fishing... Spanish Mackerel etc..
If anyone has any tips or suggestions on how I should begin please let me know.
P.S I am also looking to do some intercoastal fishing as well.
Appreciate the help!

Re: Pier Fishing Questions
I would get a stradic 4000 and a 7'6" rod..and that should be perfect for what you want.

Re: Pier Fishing Questions
I totally agree with what he said. 4k stradic 20lbs braid and a fast action 7' 6" rod with a stiff back end and long handle.
