I have and sometimes use a pocket pen like device that has a long, 2.5", stone with a grove in it... but more likely I simply toss the hook in a proper disposal manner and tie on a new one. Most smaller hooks, 5/0 and smaller, resharpening weakens the point area, MPO, and they were originally sharpened chemically.

it would be best to use new gammy's since you can't get chemically sharpened hooks sharper than what they come it a packet
