Reversed Albright or sometimes called Worm Knot.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Re: Braid to mono or flouro
Hard to beat the simplicity of a uni to uni.... but I will often tie a small Bimini in the braid and then use a variant of the Bristol or no name knot. If the Bimini gets broken at the no name knot I often then retie with a uni to uni using what is left of the Bimini....strongest of all connections assuming the mono is heaver than the braid.
People are often amazed at the number of knots that I have from the arbor spool to the hook.... its all part of a system and I trust my knots. Sometimes you want it to break at the hook or at the mono to fluoro knot...you just have to know what the break strength is and fight accordingly.

Im going to try it out with the diff line this weekend, I can tell you I had yellow braid on another reel and it seemed to get the same action as my buddys who was using green PP.snookabuser wrote:You think it would work just as well as other colors?gdm phil wrote:I respooled my cv8000 captiva last night with 40# high vis yellow. IMO i would think the fish could see it, but tell me how it goes
I would think red works great because it fades underwater right?

Everyone has their favorite colors. Use what you are confident in and you will be fine.

Red doesn't dissapear, it looks like brown (to the human eye, don't know about fish) deeper than around 15ftsnookabuser wrote:IMO i would think the fish could see it, but tell me how it goesI would think red works great because it fades underwater right?
The problem with writing about religion is that you run the risk of offending sincerely religious people, and then they come after you with machetes.

Uni to Uni gets my vote. I use it to connect 15 pound power pro to 30 pound or lighter Seaguar florocarbon.

Re: Braid to mono or flouro
I use the red phillips Rob showed me last year. But when I loop the braid (Bimini) which is most of the time I'll use a bristol which is close to the same tie as the worm knot for the leader. Uni to Uni for braid to Fluro or Mono, I've had the braid cut the leader when it gets a hit, that happened to me twice so I changed my knots.

Re: Braid to mono or flouro
Is the phillips knot effective? It seems fairly simple to do so if it works good you might as well use it. Also, it sounds stupid but how do you tie a reversed albright?rob762 wrote:Red Phillips knot....easy to tie, small and works great
The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

Red Phillips has worked for me without a failure and it is easy to tie.yakfish100 wrote:Is the phillips knot effective? It seems fairly simple to do so if it works good you might as well use it.
