I would snell or uni the hook because the ring is bend(tying to the shank of the hook). If you tie onto the ring, when you set the hook it would have the incorrect angle and might affect the hook up.
If the hook have a straight ring then it's fine with that knot.

I always add a bead to the top of the swivel to help keep the sinker from banging on the swivel.
