If you're talking about a cooler that had fish in it too long without ice, try scrubbing it out with hot soapy water, draining it & refilling it with water & pour in a quart of bleach & let stand overnight. If that doesn't do the trick, put a saucer of vanilla extract it in for 24-48 hours & the stink should be gone!

You know you are riding with a serious fisherman when riding in your car they say

"Do I detect a faint hint of Mutton? From the Feb. '08 Tortugas trip I do believe....nice"
The problem with writing about religion is that you run the risk of offending sincerely religious people, and then they come after you with machetes.

Where is your crystal ball? :P

Fishing.... Always....More than before, yep! (Okay alot more) Since I was a kid with dad- Lazy, never! Just the way dad did things. If we went shrimping or fishing as soon as we got home, we cleaned the car, rods & reels, cooler, etc. If not it was the hardknock lesson if we didn’t... When I used to go fishing with a friend he will always leave his poop in the car & never wash his reels. His car smelled like S$$T all the time & his reels were taking a crap every time I went fishing with him.
Hey, don't make fun of Herbert truck. Yeah it smells like rotten Cuda but it's good luck for him. :biglaugh: Ask him to let you smell his freezer. LOL

Oh yeah. You should also be very cautious if you find a cooler sitting next to the road on trash collection day. There is probably a reason why someone is throwing out a perfectly good cooler. I found a big 150 qt marine cooler once in the Keys, thought I had stumbled on a gold mine..opened it up and there was a case of chum in there that looked like it had been sealed in there for about a month :pale:

Like many people my car is used from fishing to going out for a special night with the girl. I'm real careful with leaving anything fish related sitting in my car for long periods without any ventilation. I have my trunk layered with trash bags just in case anything from the cooler leaks. Thankfully my girl is cool enough to keep the livewell in between her legs on the passenger side :P

As for the cooler i take out everything and let the ice melt. Early in the morning i clean it with soap and let it stay with soap for awhile. Rinse, leave it open and let dry.

Toothpaste for your hands, if you want the smell out of your car...maybe smoke a few cigars with the windows up.
