Generally for pompano and macks in the fall-winter I like a NE wind.
In the Spring at some spots I like a SE wind. NE also works if the water is stirred up.
Is this the same for all you guys?

Hjared, im with you on those conditions....fall-NE, spring-SE...fish move south, fish move north..but what ive known is that up north, they catch pomps with clear water..pomps down here wont even be present under those conditions..with west winds and all!!! Lol

Green water, north current. Best for me anyway. Haven't done pomps in a while. Last couple of seasons have been weak.
Nice Boat! Now get it outa my driveway!

For West Central... Tampa area, doesn't matter the wind... lighter wind are better due to using jigs instead of bait.

In midMay when the crowds thin because the pompano nuts think the run is over, but it's not....shhh.
