Getting Raw.

Reel feels very solid. Gonna open it up and post the gears and all.

Comes with adjust washers for line lay so you can adjust to your liking.
Also comes with a spare main shaft. Shaft looks to be well machined and sturdy.

Reel feels like a tank I am surprised. Will see how it holds up but for entry I almost think this is a perfect reel. The fish will tell me if so or not - LOL

Actually it was $126.99 vs. $169 or at some even $179.

And I have dibs on a set of Raw II 65's to a landslide bargain price from a tackle supplier. Not here yet but when he has it 30 of them I'll let you know if interested.

Do you know if it has a backup anti-reverse?

Damn that is a nice looking reel Ron. I hope it holds up, if so when your connection gets them in I may have to pick one up.

I believe they are above the cedros reels. So, if the other reels did well, I don't think these should have a problem.

BTW:

That is not the main shaft. It is the shaft for the handle when you set it toi right side.

Has a bar for left and one for right.

Took it apart totally. Note: whoever gets one be careful when taking apart totally. Is a bit$h to put back together.

OK internals are surprising well built especially for this price range.

Nelson you are right. These are above the Cedros - like seriously way above.

Will not be posting much cuz I got a lot to catch up with. Quotes / builds/ repairs by Monday that unfortunatly were on the back burner due to time constraints.

The tackle shop has reopened today and the owner and I have worked very hard the whole last couple weeks. I installed new doors / painted / electric rewiring / clearing out the old stuff where the owner moved to and you name it. Still some little things to do like the Awning but is operational.

Swing by when you have a chance

For now this will hopefully be put to the testv on the 29th. Atfter that I will see how it feels and maybe make a bigger handle for it. All depends how it turns out. First it has to hold up but just today I was picking up some parts and talked with a guy who heavaly fishes the Okuma Cedros the 55 and never had problems. Loves the ell for vertical.

hmmmmm,

To be honest I have not spooled it yet.

It comes with adjustment washers very easy. Just stick them on the shaft. More and it loads more to the top of the spool - less and it loads to the rear of the spool. From factory it is more centered I guess but as mentioned I have not spooled it yet.

Showed the drag setup to Ricky yesterday and he was impressed. This thing breaks not only from the top but also from the bottom of the spool. Sweet

Factory setting was perfect right out the box. Very even line lay. Turns out to be a solid reel ovrall. Had the handle crack but that was because I accidentally on the boat stepped or rather jumped on it. Dont ask lol. Customer support sent an entire handle assembly free of charge within a week to the door. Support was and is stellar. Better than anything else seen and experienced so far.

LOL - was a fund day

@BEO

Yeah they have been improving. Putting in better materials even in price wise lower class reels. Other than that they are fished heavy on the west coast Spinner and Conv reels
