Just make sure you clean your bucket out well before you try putting some shrimp in there next timestrizile wrote:I got 2 of the picker uppers so that is one spare one.
BTW also bring a bucket so you can transfer the basura to the bag.
Better like that cuz the bag is a bi$ch when it flaps around in the wind.

Sounds like a great idea especially since that's my favorite bridge to fish down there. Sorry to say that I have a pior commitment in Hobe Sound with the wife and in-laws. Wish I could make it, but I commend all of you for taking the time to make a difference.

I'd like to make it there, so if anyone needs a ride or is willing to bring me along. Im not much of a fan of driving down to CH 2 solo. I live in West dade/kendall, send me a pm.

It was great to meet and greet as others have said..... fishing afterwards was so so..... did get a slam of sorts..... one Mac, one Pomp and one Grover.... Now if I could have also had one Mutton , grouper, Permit etc it might have been a better day. R thanks for the crabs.... but no takers.
Till next time

No problem for the crabs Rick. You sure it was a pompano and not a small permit? I have never caught or seen a pompano caught from the Keys bridges..did you get a picture by chance?

I gotta chime in and add my thanks for one h#!! of a great time. It was a way cool meet and greet. Thanks, Pat, for the lift; Tommy for the great repast and everybody else for some glory days stories later on. Next time, I'm bringing along about a dozen "Happy Birthday" mylar balloons and everybody gets one, okay? Out!
Those other fish must be smart. We caught all the stupid ones!

That was my first thought too, but I got out my book for a double check and the top and bottom fins were not even and were short ....if you know what I mean. Was checked by FWC ( she was kinda cute too ) and she mentioned that the people closer to the start of the bridge also had several Pomps.... A good two pounds at that.PhishingPhanatic wrote:No problem for the crabs Rick. You sure it was a pompano and not a small permit?
