I have put a list of simple task to make our trip more successful. It is very important to follow the plan to the T if you want to be the best of the best! As you will see this plan is for the serious fisherman! We dont have the time to waste every mins that goes by is a fish that is not caught. If we all work as a team we will nail this! what are the recommended live baits that I can bring instead of catching them on the bridge?
I may be able to catch some on pier and bring them down there...

I'm gonna vertical jig one on a crab jig.

ill probably fill my bucket with live shrimp to get me through a day and half or so... catch livies if any should be around. though i rarely get anything but dr fish with biks on chan 2 and 5..... or small yt.... im gonna stock myself up with cut baits also..... ill have yt rigs and such also... even gonna bring some 8 - 10 ounce lead for strong current........ as far as live i usually end up fishign small grunts live out there.....

gonna have my chef boyardee cans and forks and subway for food hahaha... lots of water and tea and a few monsters

i need to grease my jig masters never done it... any suggestions where to get good grease inexpensively

Just bump it up to 40 or 50 if 30 just be finesse. Don't buy any grease I doubt you're going to need it. I'll give you some of my Cal grease when I see you out there

I've caught lots of permit on 30.

The rod makes more of a difference IMO. Don't even mess around with anything less then 9 ft. 10 ft is better.

yeah i got my 8 ft star and my 9 foot crowder rdy for the take down.. i mean i got a 9 foot nurse with an old school red jigmaster 500 and 30 lb main with 50 lb 4 ft mono lead at anglins..... took an hour but i got him.. he was 250 at the least average for that size said 280-300 he was huge and that was my star rod and 30 lb mono....so im thinkin i can handle a permit. though i do understand the difference in edges of pilings and bridges and pipes and barnicles etc.. so thicker stronger would help in that respect

Get your braid lb's right, bud. Its 150lb for bridge & 100lb is on the flats on....Hey, i see what you are trying to do there, Rich. Nice try but they wont get my flats spots for the early silver plate with 15 tails in the air.
