Please, someone tell me what to use for tarpon under bridges, around everglades city, and biscayne bay. If anyone has experience.. please?! have been fishing there for couple of years, and get good amount of snook and sometimes a rare tarpon, usually using ghost colored x-raps..
my buddy uses fly rods and kills it, switching as soon as i get funds...
i am not a big fan of dead or alive bait. mostly like lures. but if its a must will do til i get a fly rod
thanks...

I think min-o-lure makes a nice bait you can use for tarpon if you want to use that...if not, I hear live crabs work like a charm

Live or fresh dead shrimps. DOA lures works great.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

you won't even have to try so hard, bro...I read that a lot of people here on the forum complain about tarpon getting in the way when they're fishing so if they're that troublesome then I'm sure you'll have no problems..hell, I hooked up a tarpon by the Miccosuki casino on Krome Ave and SW 8th St using a shiner..and those were just scavenger tarpon that were roaming the canals heading north...I later discovered a spot that has tarpon in the same canal but they hold in numbers consistently.

That spot you are talking about has hold Tarpon and Snook for years. If you head west on the canal toward Naples the fishing gets better.basshole69 wrote:you won't even have to try so hard, bro...I read that a lot of people here on the forum complain about tarpon getting in the way when they're fishing so if they're that troublesome then I'm sure you'll have no problems..hell, I hooked up a tarpon by the Miccosuki casino on Krome Ave and SW 8th St using a shiner..and those were just scavenger tarpon that were roaming the canals heading north...I later discovered a spot that has tarpon in the same canal but they hold in numbers consistently.

I don't doubt it at all...I haven't really looked for a spot passed forty mile bend that holds anything but gar and oscars but there is a spot where the gars hold up in the tens of thousands...I'm not kidding..it's the most fish I've ever seen in such a small section of the canal
