I think I am up to date again with my reports.
During my absence the fishingclub leased a pond with carp in it and build a shelter on the premises
which I call the Hilton as it is by now fitted with laminate flooring and a woodburning stove.
Probably a shelter for my fellow fisherman so they can escape the wife and have a few brewski's
In the stream they removed a further weir which will make it passable for migrating fish but I do not
think I will ever see a searun brown trout or Atlantic salmon all the way up where I fish but who knows.
The drawback is that the part of the section I fish has dropped several feet in level and it was already
a shallow ditch to begin with.
I quickly adapted back from the 8-weight to the 2 ...4 weight short rods and the little fish although I
had some pretty good brown trout from a spot which is well kinda off limits.
Anyway the spot in question is a hotspot for trout so I guess I will try a couple times more.
Access to the water further downstream has become a problem as the weeds are now man high
and you almost have to carry a machete to get to the waters egde.
Weather pattern is currently very unstable with lots of showers and thunderstorms so often the
stream is in flooding stage = unfishable.
A small comment about my Florida trip, yes it was fun and interesting but also the last time I will
head there in spring as the snook where not to be found at the beach.
Also too many of those darn tourists around in April
